Time to shift

I can’t help but wonder how we arrived here. How menopause became a story of decline instead of a source of power.
Menopause arrives in a culture that has already taught us to fear ageing. We’re told our value lives in our appearance, productivity, fertility and ability to stay unchanged.
So we push through, ignore the signs of time and treat transition as something to survive.
No wonder menopause feels like an identity based disruption too - after all, it impacts every part of us.
To our bodies, sleep, confidence, relationships, identity and work. Symptoms that are hard to explain. Changes that are impossible to ignore.
But disruption is not the whole story.
Menopause can also be an invitation to question the story we’ve inherited about what it means to be a woman, to age and to lead.
A rite of passage, not a body failure. This isn’t about “just think positive”.
Women deserve accurate information, compassionate healthcare and practical support.
It is about creating space for a different understanding: one where menopause is met with dignity, curiosity and self-compassion.
This is the heart of my Menopause Advantage work.
Not pretending everything is easy.
Not choosing between symptom support and meaning.
Menopause is not evidence that you are losing your power.
With the right care, understanding and community, it can become the transition through which you reclaim it.
It’s time to see menopause as a source of leadership, power and wisdom.
