Outing an old myth

Women build legacies in different ways

When women reach the top, they close the door behind them.

That may have been true before but it certainly hasn’t been my experience over the past 14 years of coaching and it’s becoming less of a thing, as women wake up to the power of collaboration.

When women do their own deeply personal work, when they build empowering foundations inside, they lead differently and they inspire others to do the same.

What I’ve witnessed instead is amazingly talented women hiring me to help them build their legacy.

And where does that legacy live?

Inside their people - especially the women paving the way behind them.

Sustainable change isn’t created by reaching the top alone. It’s created by coaching, mentoring, training and developing other talented women so that feminine leadership can take root and grow.

The most powerful leaders don’t ask, “How do I hold on to my position?”

They ask, “Who will be part of my team and how can we develop together?”

Women leaders need a completely different set of training tools, they face different challenges and pressures, on top of their day jobs.

This is an important part of our work and it’s one that’s evolving alongside women’s’ authentic leadership needs.

We truly believe and are building rooms that create systems that say:

  • There is room for all of us to rise.

  • True leadership is built around the people we develop and the opportunities we create behind us.

  • The future of leadership will be built through collaboration, wellbeing and shared power.
